• Day 1- Pickup at Negombo or International Airport. Travel to Sigiriya or Lion’s Rock. 

Our first Adventure! Sigiriya. This other-worldly rock fortress is considered to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. At Sigiriya, you’ll explore the ruins of an ancient palace, surrounded by an extensive network of fortifications, gardens, ponds, canals, alleys and fountains. If you are up to the challenge, you can climb to the top for a view you will never forget. After our time at Sigiriya, we will check into our hotel and refresh before we visit Hiriwaduna. Our next adventure starts with a bullock cart ride to the rural village of Hiriwaduna. On this fun, primitive ride, you will experience Sri Lanka’s amazing countryside with wonderful views and refreshing cool breezes. Arriving in the village of Hiriwaduna, we will be guests at a home for a meal. Here we will visit a typical village house and have a traditional Sri Lankan lunch that you’ll help the locals prepare. After lunch and a bit of relaxing in the village, you will experience a boat ride to the other side of the rural village as the sun is setting. The views from the water are spectacular. We will finish this fun adventure by taking a tuk tuk ride back to our hotel. 

• Day 2 - Safari - Dambulla - Kandy

On day two, our first Adventure is a Safari at Minneriya National Park. This wildlife park is famous for the ‘The Gathering’ where over 200 elephants congregate every year during the months of May thru September. You will also see some truly amazing species of birds and other mammals, along with an ever-changing tropical terrain. After the safari, we will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. Dambulla is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in all of Sri Lanka. There are more than 80 caves in the complex. Attractions are spread throughout 5 main caves, which contain a plethora of statues and paintings. Most paintings and statues are related to Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of other gods and goddess. It is a truly mesmerizing display. After our time at Dambulla, we will make our way towards Kandy. On the way to Kandy, we will visit a spice garden in Matale and a Hindu temple. We will arrive at our hotel in Kandy where you can relax and refresh. We will also view a Kandiyan Dance Show before having dinner and retiring for the night. 

• Day 3 - Kandy-Tea-Baby Elephants 

After breakfast, we will begin our adventure in Kandy. Kandy is a bustling town nestled between the lush green mountains and magically tiered tea plantations. It was the last monarchical kingdom of Sri Lanka. Kandy is home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha. The Temple of the Tooth Relic is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. After we leave the temple, we will take some time to visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. After which we will begin our trip back to Colombo. On our last day of this 3-day adventure, we will also visit Giragama Tea Plantation. It is the nearest plantation to Kandy. Our tour will give you a good working knowledge of all aspects of tea, from a look at the early days of planting by the first colonial settlers, to the manufacturing process and how flavors are created. This stop is both beautiful and refreshing as we end our time here with a wonderful cup of tea. After our tea, we will continue on to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can get up close and personal with a large number of rescued elephants. This stop is always a customer favorite. You’ll watch the elephants get bathed and fed and you can feed the elephants as well. This is a wonderful way to end the day. Unfortunately our adventures must come to an end, and the last stop of your tour will be a drop off at your hotel in Colombo, Negombo, or CMB International Airport.
